Sloom & Slordig Organized Chaos

For the book worm, book junkie, magazine horder, design book enthusiast, what have you. These non-traditional book(cases/shelves/holders?) provide a good reflection of how I mentally feel these days. Brought to you by the folks over at Sloom & Slordig. Too bad I can't read Dutch.

Sweet! I really dig the floor to ceiling stack. It's cool that these can be custom made for any book.

Altavista does a decent translation: here

I love this look! It makes me want to populate it with things other than books . . . puppets, food, noisemakers, foreign currency . . . to make it into a total treasure hunt object.

Let's not bring up the subject of dusting.

I stumbled upon Prof Prague's post at http://www.designspongeonline.com/2007/12/sneak-peek-paul-at-branch-home.html

were he/she linked to this site. This piece is a true example of cutting edge Dutch design. It does not matter where you live the piece is utilitarian and would fit in any room
