Comix in the Gallery: ComiXmas in London
You know how I love comics . . . and how I love for comics to be looked at seriously and with one's critical thinking hat on . . . as well as I love the sheer pleasure of them.
Well, as a present to me . . . if I could only get myself to London . . . London Print Studio is just about to open a show called
ComiXmas, When Worlds Collide. Read a great essay/intro to the show here:
ComiXmas, The Bigger Picture by Paul Gravett.
London Print Studio describes the show this way:
an exhibition of fantastic images from contemporary comic books and
graphic novels. This stunning collection features work by the best
contemporary comic book artists, along with images from past great
masters of the genre. A selection of images has taken from books distributed by Turnaround, the leading distributor for independent publishers.
