OK, now . . . we're pretty used to the motion graphics convention of "flipping through CD covers" most ubiquitously, if not most elegantly, brought to the public by Apple in various screen-sizes of the iTunes design family . . .

 . . . but here's a version of the same motif that made me spray coffee on my keyboard in a classic "spit take," executed (pun intended) by the BBC's website designers who have a rotating gallery of poet headshots on their Poetry Season page, and produced the following delightful bit of historical and visual delight:
