Christian Helms from the floor @ HOW; Fiendish Football and a Feeding Frenzy

Christian Helms, Project M'er and guiding force behind The Decoder Ring Design Concern, reports on last night's haps at HOW.

A number of attendees commented that the Sappi booth was the most inspiring thing they’d seen so far at the conference. Maya, Grace, Arvi and Brian were all great, really engaging folks and letting them know that any idea was welcome.

Right out of the gate folks were all over us. Apparently the first night is a sort of feeding-frenzy, but a lot of folks jumped in and posted ideas for the project.

The Sappi team were chatting up attendees about Ideas That Matter, and we went through plenty of applications and idea worksheets. Ideas ranged from big-picture issues like water conservation and cancer to more specific ideas. One person was specifically concerned about what he saw as “the evils of high school football.”
