Harmonious Doo-Dads; A Jolly-Well Designed Web Presence
I've been surfing design sites recently, and have found one I hear myself describing to people as "an anthology of all the best discoveries of the First Era of Flash." It's the site of French design firm
Matali Crasset, and it animates yer cursor, it chases yer cursor and rallies 'round it with convivial bubbles.
Massaging it with mouse or touchpad makes it bleep, bloop, illuminate, wag, wiggle and purr . . .
. . . and produce a rather delightful array of product, furnishing and exhibition design with a loud and confident --- if not always cutting edge --- sense of color that works well against the laboratory white background.
I'd put this website in the archives as exemplary of it's style, a style that's probably just about finished its life cycle.
