Modern Croquet

Ok, I'll admit it, I was a bit of a croquet addict in my early years (probably until age 10). I remember playing for hours in my parents sizable backyard. So when I saw this, I couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia. But what drew me to this, more than my longing for the chance to hit something with a mallet, was the design of this product, the brand, and the packaging.

This new set is designed specifically for the urban dweller - where concrete and asphalt surfaces are more readily available than vast green yards.  Alice  Kaiserswerth designed this in conjunction with Adidas, and I have to say they've thought of everything. The line includes  bags, fashion, accessories, and even specially designed shoes featuring a recessed hole in the shoe to hold the ball in place and extra protection on the side for when you inevitably miss the ball. I love the carrying case - the design is far more practical than my old wooden set that fell apart when carried - notice how the balls are inset into the lid and the mallets fold to it into the case.
